Art Project | Year: 2018-2020
I’ve always had a strong drive to creatively express myself. I hatched my first bird-portrait collage 10 years ago as a part of a broader sequence of Photoshop montages inspired by art and nature. That first piece was a rooster portrayed as Napoleon III from the painting by Franz Xaver Winterhalter. That proud and majestic bird seemed to fit perfectly as the Emperor of France. The idea of matching birds with personalities portrayed in paintings intrigued me and eventually evolved into this Instagram project. @birds_dont_cry
